Clearing Up Some Tax Deductions

A few words to the wise from our latest Tax Tips for IBOs: Things you cannot deduct. We correct some misinformation about what’s deductible, that could otherwise get you audited and cause you to owe interest and penalties to the IRS. 

Howie Danzik Conquers Denver

New 2011 IBOAI Board Members, Committee Members, and Officers Elected

Congratulations to the new Directors of the IBOAI Board: Bob Andrews, Angelo Nardone, Zbigniew Rek, Matt Tsuruda, and Kathy Victor. Their terms will run from January 1, 2011, until December 31, 2013. Bob, Angelo, Zbigniew, Matt, and Kathy replace the Directors whose terms are set to expire at the end of 2010. 

Newly elected to the MAC (Marketing Advisory Committee) are Julie Duncan and Sandy Hawkins. 

Beginning January 1, 2011, new Officers serving your Board will be Brad Duncan, Chairman, and Kathy Victor, Vice Chairman. New Officers serving on the MAC are Sandy Hawkins, Chairman, and Patsy Lizardi, Vice Chairman. 

For over 50 years, the IBOAI has served as the voice of the IBO, your primary advocacy organization with Amway in North America. This election continues the process of giving IBOs a say in who represents them. This representative Association and the election of its Board are unique to a business powered by Amway in North America, legacies of the Founding Families. 

A big thank you to all who participated in, and voted for, the 2011 IBOAI Board - you were heard!

IBOAI is now available on Facebook in Spanish. IBOs can join now – all you need to do is go to the page and “like” it. 2011 IBOAI Board Election Is Open

Election packets for the 2011 IBOAI Board Election were mailed to Qualified Platinums on September 10th, 2010. After Voting Members receive their election packets, they should vote as soon as possible, as all ballots, online and paper, must be in the hands of election accountants Meyaard, Tolman & Venlet p.c. by 5:00 pm ET, Friday, October 1, 2010. Vote early!

IBOs Sponsor the “Perfect” Race Car

Third generation IBOs Jere and Rochelle Dutt and several downline IBOs sponsored Johanna Barnowski in the 73rd All-American Soap Box Derby. While the races were going on live, a film crew directed by Hollywood actor Corbin Bernsen was filming for a story built around the Soap Box Derby.
